Rear Seat Entertainment is a collective group of features designed to enhance the luxury and entertainment needs of
passengers in the rear seats of some high end vehicles. Rear seat entertainment is preferably found in
long wheelbase and other chauffeur driven limousines but they are often offered as an option in driver focused high end
vehicles as well.
A rear seat entertainment system may be offered as a feature or it may form part of an all round entertainment system for
the vehicle. One of the features that will be used for rear entertainment is the premium
audio system as a high clarity with little to no distortion listening experience forms an integral part of any multi media
entertainment system.

Different vehicles have various ways for you to control these entertainment systems.
The Lexus LS has a remote control which is used to operate a 9 inch VGA screen that drops down from the roof of the car.
The Jaguar XJ has a portable touch screen control to operate their two 8 inch LCD screens located at the back of the head
rest on the front seats.
Other vehicles allow you to control their rear seat entertainment systems by controls in the center armrest in the rear
seat or at the back of the center console.
The components that make up a rear seat entertainment system will be the premium audio system, in car DVD players and/or DVD
changers, LCD (liquid crystal display) screens to view the DVDs or television, headphones to listen to something privately (headphones
may be wireless or have jacks to plug in) and AUX connections.
The system works seamlessly with the vehicle as when the system is not in use the screens can display the
navigation, bluetooth telephone or any other display the driver may be viewing on the
infotainment screen.
