An automotive Premium Audio System is made possible by the collaborations of automotive marques and well known
high end audio companies.
Luxury automakers have been collaborating with high end audio experts to bring you the sound quality you would
expect from in store entertainment systems to you vehicles.
These well known audio experts include Harmon Kardon, Mark Levinson, Bang & Olufsen, Bowers & Wilkens, Bose,
Meridian, Lexicon and Burmester.
You can listen to various forms of music/audio in your car with no distortion, even as the volume increases the
music remains crystal clear.

These audio systems can include up to 19 speakers (one of them can be a 12 inch woofer), multiple amplifiers
(sometimes a channel for each or frequency), over 1,000 rms watts of power and the speakers are usually positioned
to achieve a stereo sound effect.
Playing the low, high and mid range frequencies from their own dedicated channels and speakers makes it easier
to achieve a better sound quality and the multiple channels and speakers facilitate this.
What further adds to quality (and cost) of these systems are that they are actually developed with the vehicle
during it's development and acoustically configured for that vehicle's interior.
This means the Mark Levingson system from the Lexus GS wouldn just be placed in the LS or the audio system from
the last gen Audi A8 was'nt just carried over into the current A8. Some components will be the same but each car has its
unique system.
Many vehicles have further enhancements like ipod/mp3 connectivity, bluetooth
steaming of auio files, satellite radio, HD radio and DVD entertainment to create
a great all round multi media experience.
Integrated hard drives (usually around 30 gigabytes) can store your music among and other information and your
premium audio system is an integral part of a rear seat entertainment.
Some premium audio systems have gone a step further. An example would be the Bang & Olufsen system which can
adjust the volume, balance or focus of the sound output to adapt to unwanted noises from the interior, exterior to even to
focus on a particular area or passenger within the car.
The covers for the speakers are usually made with high quality materials which often adds to the rich look of the
interior and the name/logo of the audio brand can be seen along the interior of the vehicle.
The premium car audio systems found in many of todays high end cars should be enough to satisfy just about any
audiophile without compromising your trunk space.
